Welcome to Greenrock

Greenrock is working to empower individuals and companies to do their part in making Bermuda socially, economically and environmentally more sustainable.

The idea originated with Sarah Young who was inspired by Freecycle (an organization where people can post online things they want, or want to give away for free*).

The uniform swap emerged as an idea to do something more focused regarding back-to-school costs, alleviating some of the expense of purchasing new uniforms and to give everyone in the BHS community a chance to give, receive and recycle. Sarah and JoAnn Lau spearheaded the exchange with support from a team and Martina Harris, head of primary.

* Freecycle organizations exist worldwide. In Bermuda, Freecycling Bermuda exists as a closed group on Facebook for those who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Worth a look!
