During the event, a steady stream of people visited the City Markets and sustainable vendors such as Encon and Bermuda Engineering. The crowd enjoyed vibrant local entertainment including Chewstick, Riva and Kirtan chanting. Judith Landsberg, Greenrock President, presented the 2012 Green Workplace Awards to local businesses, and for the first time Greenrock and BTC hosted a 'Glow in the Dark' fun walk/run with 250 participants who were sent off at 8:30 pm by the Town Crier as the lights of Hamilton went out. More than 30 businesses around Hamilton participated by turning their lights out, leaving the streets of Hamilton unusually dim while the walkers went through with flashlights.

Our 'Glow in the Dark' fun walk/run attracted 250 participants, despite the rain!Judith Landsberg commented, "Greenrock was very happy to see even more people coming out to show their commitment to living more sustainably and to enjoy this vibrant community event. The evening was a great success and we were delighted to be part of a global event making a positive statement about climate change. We hope that the people who came leave with a renewed commitment to make the small changes in their lives that add up to big changes in our environmental footprint. Bermuda, as an island, is particularly vulnerable to the impact of climate change and we will continue to raise awareness of these issues in every way we can."
